eng. mark grace is a Claims Handler and Survey Operations’ Co-Ordinator
at El Hamamsy Marine Services Ltd.

Eng. Mark joined the company in 2017. Before joining the team, Mark had served as a Mechanical Engineer at Wind Marine Service (WMS) and as an Engine Cadet on board the MV “Newlead Venetico”.

During his professional affiliation, Mark has attended several kinds of vessel’s condition surveys, draft, bunker and on/off hire surveys, hull and machinery damage surveys, steel weight calculations and follow up of repair matters including assessment of repair costs, as well as damage nature, extent, and cause definitions. His experiences extend to having attended several collisions, pollution matters, in addition to groundings and major casualties.

Since 2022, Mark started engaging in claims’ handling and as a coordinator between technical and legal teams and following up insurance related claims and disputes’ negotiations & settlements.


Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture department from Alexandria University since 2015. Later after graduation, he attended STCW basic safety and security awareness trainings. Later in 2020, Mark attended the “Davit International Training & Approval for Inspection of Davits And Hooks” in Germany.
