eng. beshr shahin is a Chief Surveyor
at El Hamamsy Marine Services Ltd.
Beshr has a solid 45-years plus experience as a marine surveyor since 1976, through which he joined several reputable marine surveying organizations in Egypt & abroad. Eng. Shahin had also worked as a non-exclusive surveyor for many classification societies, such as DNV, Bureau Veritas, and the Polish Register of Shipping. Through his vast experience track, he has a remarkable experience in P&I and H&M entry condition surveys in addition to his deep knowledge in various hull and machinery inspections.
Beshr has also attended several incidents of collision, pollution matters, groundings, and major casualties.
Beshr holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture department from Alexandria University since 1975. In 1985, he became accredited by the Egyptian Insurance Supervisory Authority as a surveyor for ship’s hull and transportation insurance surveys. In 2010, Beshr attended the ISO Lead Auditor 9001:2008 course offered by Bureau Veritas. In 2021, Beshr obtained Internal Auditor Certificate by DNV ISM, ISPS, MLC for shipping companies.
